The February 1998 issue of Playboy includes
several pictures of Marilyn in Playboy's History of the
Sexual Revolution Part VI (1950-1959): Something Cool
There's a picture of Marilyn on page 98 of the current issue
of People Weekly. This is the February 16, 1998 issue with
Celebrity Style Secrets '98 on the cover. MM is in
the feature about The Little Black Dress and is shown
wearing (you guessed it) a black dress.
Marilyn is on the cover of The National Enquirer,
March 3, 1998, as part of Unsolved Hollywood
Mysteries. Includes two color pictures of Marilyn plus
a photograph of the bedroom in which she died.
Life
magazine has a special issue dated Spring 1998 which presents
The Alfred
Eisenstaedt Awards for Magazine Photography. The issue
includes a nice portrait of Marilyn by Eisie, which can be
viewed here. The issue should be on sale at newsstands through April 27.
The Hollywood 1998 issue of Vanity
Fair contains two pictures of Marilyn at Ciro's in the
mid-'50s, a reproduction of a Photoplay cover with MM,
and Absolut Vodka's Absolut Marilyn ad.
A reproduction of Marilyn's May 14, 1956 Time cover
appears on the cover of the 75th Anniversary issue of
Time, March 9, 1998. Inside in the section about the
'50s is a picture of Marilyn from 1956, and an excerpt from a
Time MM story from 1953. Time is on the web

also a special web feature about 75 years of Time covers.
Marilyn is on the cover of CineAction
no.44, undated (copyright date is July 1997). The illustrated
article, Performance and Still Photography: Marilyn
Monroe focuses on Marilyn's image as it relates to her
performances for motion and still pictures, and culminates in
analyses of two famous Eve Arnold pictures of Marilyn.
Marilyn Monroe: From Beginning to End, a book of
photographs by Earl Leaf, has been released in the U.S. (an
earlier edition had already appeared in the UK).

Entertainment
Weekly has released a special
publication called The 100 Greatest Stars of All
Time. It features an inset cover picture of Marilyn,
as well as two pages inside. This publication is distinct
from the one of the same title issued by Entertainment
Weekly last year.
