24) pictures a copy of the
first issue of Playboy (MM cover)
autographed by Joe DiMaggio. This magazine was recently
sold at a Sotheby's auction for over $40,000.
Marilyn is on the front and back covers of the March/April 2000
issue of
Gadfly.
The issue's article, Saint Marilyn, is illustrated by
a selection of photographs by
Milton H. Greene.
Marilyn gets the center spot on the
cover of the April 2000
issue of Architectural Digest. Hollywood at
Home is the theme of the issue, and it features a
substantial illustrated story about last October's
Christie's auction.
Desperately Seeking Marilyn is the subject of
Terrence Rafferty's column in the April
2000 issue of GQ. A candid 1953 photograph of Marilyn
accompanies the article.
The June 2000 issue of
Playboy has a
nude photo by photographer
Andre de Dienes in the
Playboy After Hours section that may be Marilyn circa
1950 from Jones Beach. I personally believe that it is Marilyn.
This year's Sport's Illustrated swimsuit issue
has a 1953 3D photograph of Marilyn holding a bottle of
Coca Cola.
