Even More Beautiful Marilyn Posters!

Something's Got to Give (1962, uncompleted)

Scenes from this uncompleted film show a radiant Marilyn in fine comedic form, playing a mother for the first time. Marilyn's nude swimming scene made magazine covers and headlines worldwide, but production delays combined with Fox's huge investment in Elizabeth Taylor's epic Cleopatra resulted in this film's demise. Looking for any excuse to shelve the film, Fox fired Marilyn. Negotiations to rehire her and resume production on Something's Got to Give were in progress when Marilyn died.

This movie was remade in 1963 with the title Move Over Darling starring Doris Day.

Extensive video footage from Something's Got to Give is available; see Lost Performances of Marilyn Monroe.
